Singapore Former Employees
Cybersecurity Update

In today's world, the threat of cybercrime is ever-present and constantly evolving. Globally, cyberattacks have become more sophisticated and frequent, targeting both individuals and organizations. In Singapore, while the overall crime rate remains relatively low, there has been a noticeable increase in cybercrimes, including data breaches, ransomware attacks, and phishing scams in the first half of 2025.

On August 25th, Prosegur Singapore became aware of allegations that data from one of our servers were improperly accessed. We immediately enacted our response protocol and engaged external cybersecurity experts to contain the issue. Our operations remain fully online, and we have no evidence to suggest there has been any impact to other parts of the organization. We are also engaging with local law enforcement and regulators.

As part of our investigation, we have determined that the following Singapore-based former employee data may have been inappropriately accessed, such as contact information (name, address, email address, etc.), identification information (NRIC number, passport, photograph, date of birth, etc.) and other information.

The potential impact of this incident may include risk of identity theft or fraud, if personal identifiers are misused, and/or risk of unauthorised contact, such as phishing or scam attempts using your details.

While this incident is regrettable, we are committed to emerging a stronger organization, and we have taken several steps to strengthen our systems, including:

  • Changing Active Directory passwords.
  • Restricting access to sensitive databases.
  • Deploying an additional Endpoint Detection Response (EDR) tool.
  • Conducting additional penetration testing to identify and fix any remaining vulnerabilities.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to remind all former employees to stay vigilant and practice best cyber-hygiene practices, including:

  • Be alert to suspicious, calls, or messages requesting personal information.
  • Regularly review your banking transactions and immediately report any irregular activity.
  • Avoid sharing personal information through unsecure channels.
  • If in doubt, you can verify the validity of any communication through our official channels.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please be aware that this information is sensitive for the safety of your colleagues
